Where to start with CBD

When buying CBD, please know three things:

  1. How many milligrams of CBD per dropper, bottle, jar, cartridge, etc? Dosages vary, but it’s recommended that adults need anywhere from 1-5mgs per 10lbs of body weight. Ex. 15-75mgs for a 150lb person. 
  2. What type is it? Full spectrum is an oil or product that contains all the cannabinoids that are found in the cannabis plant in nature, rather than just CBD (Cannabidiol), Broad-spectrum CBD contains cannabidiol and all the other compounds within the plant, save for THC, which is completely removed after the initial extraction or CBD isolate which is the most pure form of CBD. It contains 0.0% THC and comes in the form of a powder or slab. CBD isolate is tasteless and odorless.
  3. Has it been 3rd party tested? It should be easy to find if the product has been tested for content and purity. If not, don’t buy it.

If you look around, you will see CBD in the grocery stores, gas stations, framer’s market and all over the internet. I get calls all the time from people who say, I bought some CBD, but it doesn’t work. Come to find out, they aren’t taking nearly enough to make a difference.
